Microcomputers

Prerequisites: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in ENG 083 and ENGL 093, or ENGL 095. Introduces the physical components and opera­tion of microcomputers. Focuses on computer literacy and provides hands-on training in four areas of microcomputer application software: word processing, electronic spreadsheets, database man­agement and presentation software. Use of a professional business integrated applications package is emphasized.

BUSN 101 Introduction to Business TransferIN 3 Credits

Examines the American business system in relation to the economic society. Prerequisites: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in (ENGL 093 and ENGL 083) or ENGL 095. ACCT 101 Financial Accounting TransferIN 3 Credits

Prerequisites: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in ENGL 093 and ENGL 083, or ENGL 095, and MATH 023 or higher. Introduces the fundamental principles, techniques, and tools of financial account­ing. The development and use of the basic financial statements pertaining to corporations both service and retail.

BIOL 101 Introductory Biology Transfer IN 3 Credits

Prerequisites: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in ENGL 093 and ENGL 083 and MATH 023 or MATH 080. Introduces the basic con­cepts of life. Includes discussion of cellular and organismal biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and interaction among all living organ­isms. Addresses applications of biology in a global community.
